I started Diddles Dairy in 1995 as a 4-H project. I have worked with goats since, working at many commercial dairies as well as having my own small show herd. We starting make soap as our wedding favor in 2010 and have continued to do so after many requests!
I have had all breeds of goats and have settled on the Lamancha as my favorite. Does are fed free choice grass/clover/alfalfa hay and a textured feed. They have free choice trace mineral and white salt. They have access to pasture all summer, and are fed tree cuttings, pumpkins, and corn stalks when available.
Kids are being dam raised this year, but had been raised on milk replacer in past years.
Bucks brought to the farm are carefully selected from top does, with high milk qualities and strong form to support that beautiful udder.
I do try to make it to a few local shows a year. I also have participate in ADGAs Linear Apprasial Program.
We have cut back on the number of animals on the farm. Many quality animal were sold, they are missed and we hope they are doing well!
